Mid-August 1999 -- Look for new pamphlet on teaching resources at Emory, published by the University Advisory Council on Teaching. Included are funding opportunities and teaching awards, as well as contact names and numbers for local resource centers and instructional technology support. Also provided is information on various Emory publications, distance learning, and tenure.

23 September 1999 -- A Celebration of Emory Authors and Druid Hills Books Open House. 2:00 ­ 5:30 p.m., Druid Hills Books, 1407 Oxford Road. Join in this open house and toast to Emory faculty who have written books in the past year. 30 September -- 1 October 1999 -- Jean-François Lyotard Colloquium. In memory of the Robert W. Woodruff Professor of French and Philosophy, who died in April 1988. Speakers will examine Lyotard's life and work. Keynote address by Jacques Derrida on Sept. 30, 4:00 p.m., 208 White Hall. Call 727-6431.
