WAY beyond the "Syllabus on the Web": The Chronicle of Higher Education announces that Columbia University and several other institutions are collaborating with Fathom.com, a for-profit web site, that will deliver on-line courses and "the intellectual milieu of academe" with virtual museum exhibits, lectures, and artistic performances.
