Classroom
on the Quad has truly been a collaborative effort, not only between
students, faculty and staff but also between individuals with varying
opinions and viewpoints on the topic of war in Iraq. As organizers
of this event, we have done our best to approach this highly controversial
issue by representing multipartisan viewpoints, both ideologically
and politically. The nature of this event obliges us, as members
of the Emory community, to maintain composure, consideration and
respect for all opinions and viewpoints that are represented.
A broad and balanced range of views will be represented by students,
staff members and administrators, and scholars of various disciplines.
Please remember that the goal of this event, above all, is to encourage
the fair and active exchange of ideas in an academic setting.
I would now like to introduce
Christopher Richardson and Donna Wong to present the guidelines
for conduct in the Classroom.
