INTERNATIONALISM

Global Citizens
Whether studying abroad or on campus, Emory students have a wealth of resources to help them learn about global issues and cultures different from their own. This perspective leads many Emory students to work in international fields after graduation, both in the United States and abroad.

When students want to study abroad, the Center for International Programs Abroad is the place to go. The office coordinates the advising, application process, and transfer of credit for all Emory College students participating in study abroad.

Emory students live with families in Rio de Janeiro and examine the culture, politics, economics, and society of Brazil. Through the Emory Tibetan Studies program, students immerse themselves in the Tibetan language, philosophy, and culture, while living in Dharamsala, India, home to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the cultural and intellectual capital of the Tibetan exile community. Premed students take courses and do laboratory research at leading universities in the U.K. Emory has seventy-nine programs in countries around the world.

For global enrichment on campus, the Office of International Affairs—a center of information on international academic programs and cocurricular activities across the University—maintains a comprehensive calendar of international events at Emory.
