Paying for a college education is a big investment. Emory can help with a financial plan so you can meet this new financial obligation. Emory University offers need-based and merit-based financial assistance that can make an Emory education affordable.

If a student has need, an award package typically includes a combination of three kinds of need-based financial aid—grants, work-study, and loans. Grants are gift assistance and do not have to be repaid. Federal work-study is an award for which a student must work, earning money on an hourly basis. Low-interest educational loans must be repaid either after the student ceases to be enrolled or while still attending a postsecondary institution. In addition, students from the state of Georgia may be eligible for the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant (GTEG) and HOPE Scholarship funds.
