Releasing
Conduct Information
Emory requires that all students self-disclose any interruption in their
education, any court conviction other than parking violations, and any
school-related disciplinary infraction, academic dishonesty or otherwise.
Each applicant and his or her parent or guardian must also sign a waiver
consenting and authorizing the release of academic and disciplinary information
to Emory University by all schools attended. (Complete text of waiver
is below.) In your recommendation, we ask that you inform us of any interruption
in a students education, any court conviction other than parking
violations, and any school-related disciplinary infraction, academic dishonesty
or otherwise. If you have questions about this request or if you have
questions about the waver signed by the applicant and parent, please call
Daniel C. Walls, Dean of Admission, at 800.727.6036 or 404.727.6036.
The following is the waiver signed by all applicants and their parent
or guardian:
I have read and fully understand the restrictions and guidelines
of this application, and I agree to furnish correct and complete information
in connection with Part One and Part Two of this application. I certify
that the essays are my work alone. I understand and agree that if I furnish
incorrect or incomplete information on this application or in connection
with this application, that this may result in my admission being denied
or revoked or in my suspension or expulsion from Emory College or any
other school or college of Emory University. I further agree that if I
am accepted at Emory College, I will abide by the Honor Code of Emory
College and the Emory University Undergraduate Code of Conduct. By signing
below, my parent or guardian and I authorize and consent to the release
by all schools I have attended of all information requested by Emory University
in connection with my application (Part One and Part Two), including but
not limited to all academic and disciplinary information and records pertaining
to me.
