The General Contractor is responsible for the construction of the project. They build the facility according to the information provided by the Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, and Owner in the contract documents.

Often General Contractors will self-perform a portion of the work, such as basic carpentry and concrete work. However, the amount of work that is performed by the General Contractor varies by firm. The work that is not self-performed is contracted to Subcontractors. Materials for the project are supplied by Vendors.
