Warning: The region below this text contains an invisible ActiveX control. Read the following section closely before pressing the "Toss Em" button.

Instead of tracking the user's preferences, usage patterns, and other personal information on their own server, some providers generate a file, referred to as a "Cookie," on the user's local machine. The use of Cookies is one of the most controversial activiites regarding Web browsers and the Internet. It is easily understood why content providers would want to record user-specific information regarding the usage of their Web sites, but some providers take this tracking a step further through the use of Cookies. To combat the use of Cookies, this form contains an invisible ActiveX control that seeks out any Cookies on the user's local hard drive and deletes them. Therefore, the control is appropriately named "Toss Your Cookies."

The fact that this control could so easily manipulate your local machine from within a Web browser might make you a little paranoid.
