In addition to the federal government and universities,
many major high-tech corporations have pledged support to the Internet2
project. These corporate partners are providing funding, products
and services to the effort. For example, in April 1999, Microsoft
Corp announced a pledge of $1mm in goods and services to university
research for Internet2. Corporate partners signed up so far are
