At Emory Campus Life, we expect our staff to be life-long learners, people who take advantage of both formal and informal learning opportunities throughout their lives to foster their continuous development and improvement of the knowledge and skills needed for their careers and their personal fulfilment.

In addition to employee opportunities provided at University and departmental levels, Emory Campus Life provides a suite of professional development programs for our staff, including:

  • the Adminstrative Fellowship Program - a nine-month fellowship for new- to mid-level employees
  • the Executive Fellowship Program - a yearlong fellowship for senior staff seeking executive-level experience
  • Campus Life Employee Resource Groups (CLERGS) - staff-led groups established around common interests or identities
  • Hot Topics - a series of workshops open to all ECL staff and addressing timely and critical issues in student affairs and at Emory
  • Mentor Campus Life - our in-house staff mentoring program
  • the New Professionals Cohort Program - an introduction to Emory Campus Life for staff in their first three years of employment after conclusion of their full-time education
  • the Senior Staff Series - programs for Campus Life senior staff focused on inclusive leadership, staff development, and other topics relevant to department heads and managers
  • the Emory Higher Education Institute - an ECL initiative providing national programs for student affairs professionals, university leaders, and community members
