Award Categories

Distinguished Service Award - Presented to up to two Emory Campus Life employees who have provided exceptional service to their department, the division, the university, and/or their profession. Nominations should highlight excellence in performance or professional achievement that has benefited the university.

Friends in Faculty Award - Presented to a maximum of two faculty members in the Emory University community who have demonstrated significant support for and/or contributions to Emory Campus Life and the quality of student life.

Campus Life Champion Award – Presented to a maximum of one staff member in the Emory University community who has demonstrated significant support for and/or contributions to Emory Campus Life and the quality of student life. Award winners must not be Emory Campus Life employees.

New Professionals Honor - Presented to up to two new Campus Life employees who have demonstrated exceptional performance and motivation in the execution of their duties. For this award, new professionals are defined as Emory Campus Life employees in their first three years of employment in Campus Life.

John L. Ford Ethical Leadership Award - Presented to a maximum of one Emory Campus Life employee on the basis of demonstrated ethical leadership. Nominations should include specific examples of the employee’s honesty, integrity, ethics, principles, and/or values.

Engaged Scholar Award - Presented annually to a maximum of one Emory Campus Life employee who has demonstrated recent, significant contributions of new knowledge to their profession. Evidence of such contributions may include, but are not limited to, published articles, conference or workshop presentations or papers, research projects, or innovative programs and practices that have been shared with colleagues in the field.

Building Bridges Award – Presented annually to a maximum of one Emory Campus Life employee who has been a leader in fostering meaningful collaboration with other offices and departments across campus life and/or the university. Nominations should highlight the nominee’s specific contributions to collaboration and ways the collaboration has benefited the university.

Helen W. Jenkins Lifetime Achievement Award - Named in honor of Emory Campus Life’s distinguished former Senior Food Service Liaison. This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated a lifetime commitment to high performance as an Emory Campus Life employee.
