Office of Student Development

The Office of Student Development is a primary resource within the Division of Campus Life for developmental programs for Emory University. The Office coordinates and supervises a number of programs including the Sophomore Season Seminars, the Enter/Phase academic and co-curricular seminars during fall orientation and many of the academic support programs for Emory students. Additionally the Office of Student Development oversees the Office of Volunteer Emory, the Alcohol Judicial Council and the selection of students to Who's Who Among Students at American Colleges and Universities. The Office also organizes Emory's week long observance of the Martin Luther King holiday. The Director of the Office, Cynthia A. Shaw serves as the co-director of the Freshmen Advising and Mentoring at Emory Program (F.A.M.E.), which is the academic advising program for the University and also serves as advisor to the following student organizations: The Alcohol and Drug Education Committee, Mortar Board, the University's leadership honor society and the Martin Luther King Scholars.
