What kinds of things are you involved with on campus?
I work at the rock wall in the WoodPEC (open Monday-Friday 4pm-8pm and Saturdays 12pm-2pm) and am part of the pre-nursing club. I didn't want to overextend myself freshman year! This upcoming school year I plan on joining SAPA and the Feminists in Action club.
Describe yourself in 140 characters or less.
"A story should have a beginning, a middle and an end, but not necessarily in that order." -Jean Luc Godard
If you were to use a hashtag to describe your life, what would it be and why?
#bepresent My best friend and I have been going to yoga religiously this summer and our yoga instructor gives us new mantras every week that can be applied to different areas of our lives. She is always telling us to be present with our practice and this is something I have applied to my daily life. Instead of going through the motions of your daily activities, I believe it's important to be present, live in the now, and appreciate everyday and not just experience life, but truly live it.
Favorite place on campus?
I'm addicted to Starbucks, so it's my favorite place (and most visited) on campus. When the weather is warm I enjoy doing homework on McDonough or the quad with friends. When it's not so nice, the reading room in the Oxford Road Building is a great (and quiet) place to get work done.
Why Emory?
I visited Emory my junior year of high school and fell in love- the campus is gorgeous, the academics are incredible, and the people are fantastic. After one visit I was sold.
Fun Fact about yourself?
I'm adopted...but many people don't believe me because I look too much like my parents! I am also a French film fanatic.
