The Publisher

Studies in Nepali History and Society (ISSN: 1025-5109) is a publication of the Nepal Studies Group, the research wing of the Centre for Social Research and Development, a Nepali NGO (Registration No. 285/051/052). SINHAS is published for CSRD by Mandala Book Point in Kathmandu, Nepal. SINHAS is published semi-annually. Each issue is approximately 200 pages. Mandala Book Point publishes books on Nepal and the Himalayas. Its bookstore in Kathmandu is situated on the Kantipath. Mandala ships books from its large stock worldwide. Mandala Book Point holds copyright to all material appearing in Studies in Nepali History and Society unless otherwise noted in the journal. Persons wishing to photocopy SINHAS articles for personal or classroom use are free to do so. Those wishing to reproduce an article for any other purpose (general distribution, advertising or promotional purposes, translation, creating new collective works, or resale) must obtain permission from SINHAS and Mandala.


Advertising in SINHAS and New Publications Listings

Inquiries regarding placing advertisements in SINHAS should be directed to Madhab L. Maharjan at Mandala Book Point. Reciprocal advertising arrangements can be made in some cases. A list of books received will be carried gratis in each issue of the journal and such books will, if appropriate, be made available to authors of literature reviews for SINHAS and/or to The Kathmandu Post Review of Books. Books on Nepal as well as edited volumes and journal issues (published in any language) in which a significant contribution on Nepal appears will be listed. Publishers who wish their books on Nepal to be listed should send one copy to The Editors in Kathmandu by registered bookpost. Please note that books must be sent to Kathmandu.
