About ICIS
Emory College's Institute for Comparative and International Studies supports and stimulates scholarly understanding within and across a wide range of world regions, nations, and cultures. Our initiatives include:
- ICIS workshops, conferences, and speakers that expand opportunities for international, cultural, and comparative scholarship at Emory
- Theme-based graduate and post-doctoral seminar and fellowship programs
- Area studies programs that bridge academic disciplines and provide place-based knowledge about diverse world regions
- International travel and research support for faculty and students
- A wide array of study abroad opportunities through the Center for International Programs Abroad (CIPA)
- Technology-assisted language learning at the Emory College Language Center (ECLC)
