All guests are encouraged to allow time for traffic and parking
and to arrive early. Guests begin to arrive
as early as 6:30 am; the rush is heaviest between 7:30 and
8:00.
All seating is first-come, first-seated.
Seats cannot be reserved with signs, cords, or other means.
Guests do not require tickets to the all-schools ceremony or diploma ceremonies UNLESS inclement weather forces that the Emory College diploma ceremony be held indoors in the Woodruff PE Center. College graduates will receive 2 tickets; additional College guests can view the ceremony on screens in White Hall.
No pets are allowed on the Quadrangle. Please make arrangements for care of pets before arriving on campus.
The Emory College ceremony will conclude
at about 12:30 pm. Guests making lunch or travel arrangements
should allow time for traffic and travel times when making
reservations. Each Emory College graduate will walk across
the stage and receive a diploma.
In the event of inclement weather on Commencement day,
the Emory College diploma ceremony will
begin at 2:00 pm in the Woodruff PE Center. The ceremony
will conclude at about 4:30. College guests should consider
this schedule when making plans for travel and hotel stays.
Free parking and shuttle bus service are
available throughout the campus. All shuttles accommodate persons using wheelchairs or with mobility challenges.
Restroom facilities will be available
around the Quadrangle area and at all diploma
ceremony venues.
Concession areas will be available close
to the Quadrangle for purchasing beverages and refreshments.
Information booths will be located at
either end of the Quadrangle for guest assistance.
If you need medical assistance, notify
the nearest usher or safety marshal. First Responders will be located on the Quadrangle.
At many of the school diploma ceremonies, professional
photographers will photograph graduates receiving
their diplomas and photos will be available for purchase
on the web. Visit the Event Schedule or contact your school
Commencement coordinator to determine if a photographer
will be present at your ceremony.
