All conference guests will be provided with access to the
Woodruff Physical Education Center as part of their stay.
This building houses strength and conditioning equipment,
free weights, a dance studio, a gymnasium with basketball,
volleyball, and badminton capabilities, cycling facilities,
a rock climbing wall, Olympic-size swimming pool, racquetball
and squash courts, and locker rooms. Fully trained professional
staff can be hired to teach classes from yoga to martial arts
to weightlifting.
In 2004 the PE Center underwent an
$8.25 million renovation. The additions to the building include
a new 80,000 square foot 4th story with four indoor tennis
courts, two multipurpose courts, and additional office space.
Outdoor athletic facilities are available as well. There
are eight tennis courts, which can be lit until 10:00pm and
two lighted fields. The Candler Fields are also lighted and
offer a more secluded location for intense sports camps.
