• On Micro$oft, beginners use FrontPage, "Professionals" seem to use Allaire's HomeSite

• Geeks shouldn't do the design
• Artists, marketing types shouldn't do it either
• Structure of web requires new thinking, not linear, not a pamphlet
4. Use the Yale Style Manual (http://info.med.yale.edu/caim/manual/contents.html) as a reference
• Good fundamentals
• Know the target audience(s)
• Set short-term and long-term goals for site
• Diagram it
