Mission
Mission
The mission of the Dobbs University Center is to provide a welcoming and inclusive self-directed learning laboratory outside of the classroom that complements the academic experience by providing programs and services that represent the core values of our community; human development, integrity, collaboration, and community.
The Dobbs University Center will provide programs and services that are culturally engaging, diverse in nature and support the educational mission of the institution in an environment that is conducive to learning and personal growth. By providing these programs and services we hope to impact student recruitment, satisfaction and retention/progression.
This will be accomplished by providing
Goal 1. Positioning the university center as central and relevant to student life and build campus community
Goal 2. Creating and maintaining facilities that promote student learning and development
Goal 3. Support and Initiate programs and services necessary to the Enterprise
Goal 4. Provide quality customer service and improved communication
Goal 5. Increase revenue and alternative income while decreasing over reliance on conference revenue
Goal 6. Assessment and Evaluation
Vision
As the "living room" of the university, the Dobbs University Center is a unifying force in campus life and is an integral part of the University's mission cultivating enduring regard for and loyalty to the Emory Community.
Constituents
- We serve the entire student body and all divisions within Emory University and Healthcare by providing services deemed necessary to the enterprise.
- We also provide space and support for meetings or other opportunities to create community.
