Inspired by an athlete who lost his life to neurological disease, a Georgia family raises thousands of dollars for research at Emory School of Medicine. An alumnus with a competitive spirit makes a gift challenging his former classmates to support the School of Law. The children of a beloved Oxford College dean honor their late parents by funding an outdoor classroom.

Examples of generosity among alumni and friends are legion. Private philanthropy has shaped Emory throughout its 175-year history. Major investments by the Woodruff family and its foundations, for instance, have helped us secure a place among the nation’s best research universities. A group of donors has given more than $88 million for a new research building.

Although larger gifts grab headlines, stories of transformation echo across our community of donors. Every gift donors make strengthens the programs, people, and places they value the most.

Gifts from the heart have tremendous power. I invite you to create a meaningful legacy at Emory with your gift.
