Memorial Church is completed and dedicated to Wilbur Fisk
Glenn, an Emory College alumnus and a prominent Methodist
minister. |

1931Edwin
R. Embree, president of the Julius Rosenwald Fund, visits Emory
and proposes the formation of a university center in Atlanta.
The idea takes hold, and today the University and twelve other
institutions of higher learning in the state are linked by an
inter-library loan system, and their students are allowed to register
for courses at other member institutions. |

the occasion of its centennial, the University publishes
its first major history, by Henry Morton Bulloch 24C-25T. |

W. Woodruff establishes a cancer clinic at Emory, his
first major gift to the University. |

Haygood-Hopkins Memorial Gate, the Universitys front
door, is erected. It is a gift from alumnus and trustee
Linton B. Robeson. |
