German Studies to sponsor screening,
discussion of `Schindler's List'
The Department of German Studies is sponsoring a screening of Steven
Spielberg's film, "Schindler's List," and a discussion of the film by
three
Emory faculty members. The screening is set for Sunday, Feb. 12, at 7
p.m. in
112 White Hall. On Wednesday, Feb. 15, Deborah Lipstadt, Dorot Associate
Professor of Modern Jewish and Holocaust Studies, along with David
Blumenthal,
Jay and Leslie Cohen Professor of Judaic Studies, and David Cooke, chair
of the
Department of Film Studies, will discuss the film. The discussion will be
in103

PCSW nominations requested
The President's Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) is soliciting
nominations for the 1995-96 academic year. The commission has several
open
positions including eight student appointments (four undergraduate, two
graduate, two professional), two faculty appointments and one staff
appointment. Student members are elected to one-year terms, and faculty
and
staff serve three years.
The deadline for nominations is March 8. Nomination forms are available
through the Women's Center, the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs and
the

Proposals sought for product development
Faculty involved in research projects with commercial potential are
encouraged
to submit proposals for innovative product development funding through
the
Faculty Research Commercialization Program (FRCP) of the Advanced
Technology
Development Center. The FRCP provides financial and business assistance
to move
research technology from the conceptual laboratory stage toward a
commercially
viable product. Funding can total up to $100,000 per project. A
pre-proposal
conference and open discussion of the requirements of the FRCP will be
held on
the Emory campus on Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. in the Calhoun Conference Room of
the
Health Sciences Library. Proposals are due to ATDC by March 24 and awards
will
