Mizell Drive reopens as part
of growing Shuttle Parkway
Workers put the finishing touches on the Mizell Drive portion of the
ever-expanding Shuttle Parkway, which opened last week. The road project
brings
welcome relief for traffic congestion in the Fishburne parking deck area.
During regular business hours, parking on Mizell Drive will be restricted
to
buses bringing visitors to the Carlos Museum and other campus facilities.
Parking will not be restricted at nights and on weekends. In addition to
Mizell
Drive, the completed portion of the Shuttle Parkway includes a rerouted
Fishburne Drive that now connects with Asbury Circle near the site of the
future business school, and the currently unnamed roadway east of Clifton
Road
between the MacMillan Law Library and the sorority lodges. The University
is in
the process of naming new and rerouted roadways in the area.
