Wellness column seeks readers' input

For the past two years, the Wellness column has provided practical tips on a wide variety of topics that all fall under the broad umbrella of "wellness." We have tried to provide you with a range of columns filled with practical information to enable you to live a more healthy life. Those columns have covered preventive medicine topics such as controlling cholesterol, maintaining a moderate exercise program and tips for healthy traveling, as well as issues such as recognizing the signs of stroke, reducing the risk of skin cancer and symptoms and treatment of influenza. We discussed drug and alcohol abuse, stopping smoking and how to eat healthy while eating out.

As we start a new year, we would like to continue to provide you with columns that are informative, engaging and relevant. We would like our columns to encourage you to think in more depth about what it means to have a healthy lifestyle.

And that's where we need your help. We want to respond to your interests in this column. Please take a few minutes and write down your suggestions for topics you would like to see covered in the Wellness Column during the months ahead, and mail or e-mail them to: John D. Lisco, M.B. Seretean Center for Health Promotion, 556 School of Public Health, <lisco@fox.sph.emory.edu>.
