Humanitarian Awards presented

Emory honored its 1995-96 Humanitarian Award recipients in a ceremony on Jan. 31. Pictured are, front row (L to R): Kim Weaver, Scott K. Proeschold, Yawei Liu; front row (L to R): Corliss D. Jennifer Canter, a senior who died last fall as the result of a horseback riding accident, was presented the award posthumously.

Emory's Humanitarian Award was established to recognize undergraduate and graduate students who have shown outstanding community spirit and concern for others. Students are nominated by peers and faculty members for demonstrating honesty, integrity and responsibility; for special acts of courage and friendship; and for committing significant amounts of time and energy to serving others.
