Gold Medalist Torrence trains at Emory track

Olympic Gold Medalist Gwen Torrence, a native of Decatur, was interviewed at the P.E. Center track earlier this month for a feature to be aired by the Travel Channel. Torrence, who won the Gold Medal in the 200-meter dash at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain, occasionally uses the P.E. Center track for training. Winner of the world championship in the 100-meter dash last summer, Torrence is one of several Olympic-caliber athletes who occasionally train at Emory.
