Yerkes baby chimpanzee flies first class

Caramia, a five-month-old Yerkes Primate Research Center baby chimpanzee, pictured here in the arms of Yerkes research assistant, Kelly McDonald, flew first class last month from Atlanta to Oakland, Calif., to join another baby chimpanzee, Amira. Caramia had been separated from her mother, Tai, for her own protection, after the mother's excessive grooming had scratched one of Caramia's corneas.
