Biting the bullet to stay healthy

Cathy Keeler (left) from the School of Nursing Dean's Office awaits the sting of the needle from nurse Mary Jo Warner. Keeler was one of 119 Emory community members who received influenza vaccinations through the University Health Service on Oct. 22. Flu shots also were given at campus locations on Oct. 18 (84 vaccinations) and Oct. 8 (97 vaccinations). Warner said that in addition to the special vaccination dates in October, for which no appointments were necessary, the University Health Service on Uppergate Drive also is available every weekday for those who wish to receive a flu vaccination. The final "no-appointment" session for this flu season is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the University Health Service. For more information, call 727-7535.
