There's still time to order an Emory commemorative license plate since the Georgia Motor Vehicle Division has extended the application deadline to the end of September. Emory still needs 200 applications to meet the 500 minimum requests that are required before the state will manufacture the plates. The new Emory license plate will feature the Lamp of Learning over the Haygood-Hopkins Gate at the entrance to the campus, with the EMORY wordmark underneath. Call the Secretary of the University, 727-6020, or e-mail adminck@emory.edu, to receive an application for a commemorative plate. Applications must be returned by Sept. 28 to the Secretary's office with a $25 check payable to Emory University.
