Anniversary celebration
of Staff Fest set for May 15

This year marks the 20th anniversary of staff day, and organizers have the traditional assortment of entertainment, information, and food and drink planned. The May 15 event will begin with the Apple FunRun and FunWalk in Lullwater. The two-mile run begins at 10 a.m., and the one-mile walk begins at 10:30. Participants are eligible for a daylong pass to the P.E. Center, good only on May 15. First-place finishers and the two people completing the races closest to a predetermined "wellness time" will be awarded one-month memberships to the Blomeyer Health Fitness Center. Other prizes will be awarded by the P.E. Center. For more information or to register for the races, call 404-727-WELL.

Games will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include volleyball on the Quad near Candler Library. Volleyball participants should call Beth Grubb at 404-727-5883 to register their co-ed teams (two or more women) of at least six players.

The Blomeyer Center and Community Services will each have information booths at Staff Fest. Because the event coincides with Clean Commute Week (see article on page 5), the Community Services booth will have giveaways, raffles, and information on alternative transportation and the new Hazy Days program.

Commemorative T-shirts will be on sale Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, May 4-13, at Emory Hospital's Asbury Court from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They also can be ordered from any one of 10 internal ordering sites at the main campus, The Carter Center, Grady Hospital and Oxford. See the Staff Fest website at <www. emory.edu/STAFF_FEST> for complete information.

Meal tickets are required for lunch and are available from departmental Human Resources representatives. In case of rain, food will be served in the DUC and games and entertainment will be held in the P.E. Center.

Volunteers are still needed for all shifts. For more information call 404-712-0220.
