Candler offers lay courses for springSix short-term courses promoting a deeper understanding of faith issues are being offered in 1998-99 by faculty members of the Candler School. Held in the evenings or on weekends, the courses are conducted through the school's Lay Theology Institute (LTI). LTI courses provide opportunity for personal growth regardless of religious or academic background by exploring Christian themes in an ecumenical context. Four of the courses meet from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. for six Tuesdays. The two weekend courses meet Friday evening and during the day on Saturday. The courses, instructors, dates and sites are as follows:
Cost is $45 per course with registration at least a week in advance ($50 at the door); members of partner congregations and the Emory community pay only $35 ($40 at the door). Each course carries the option of one continuing education unit (CEU). LTI is a program of Candler's Office of Church Ministries Education.
