Reception to celebrate research success

A reception to honor Emory's reaching the $200 million mark in sponsored research will be held April 24 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in WHSCAB auditorium. The Office of Research is asking the faculty to contribute "research humor" (jokes, cartoons, stories from laboratories) to share at the occasion. To contribute, send items to Connie Snipes at csnipes@emory.edu.

Emory observes Clean Air Week

April 17­21 is Clean Air Week, and Emory is celebrating with a series of events on campus.

Today, April 17, is MARTA Day, with the Parking Office issuing two free MARTA tokens to the first 50 employees who come to the office and who are not currently receiving Emory's MARTA subsidy.

April 18 is Carpool/Vanpool Day, and Campus Dining is offering free sodas or yogurt to employees in carpools and/or vanpools. On April 20, employees taking advantage of Bike to Work Day can show their bike helmets and use the shower facilities at the P.E. Center. Also on Thursday, Campus Dining will hand out coupons to MARTA participants redeemable for sodas or yogurt.
