Genomes to be discussed at symposium

The Second Annual Genetics & Human Disease Symposium is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21, in the WHSCAB auditorium. The School of Medicine designates this activity for a maximum of six hours in category 1 toward the AMA Physicians Recognition Award. With the exception of CME credit, registration is free. Payment of $25 for CME credit may be made at the door.

The deadline for registration is Aug. 21. Forms are available online at nampeyo.cc.emory.edu/ghd99/RegistrationForm.html.

Adult Education programs registration deadline nearing

The Skills Enhancement Program is conducting registration for the Fall semesters of Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Pierce closed Aug. 12, 13

Pierce Drive, from Fraternity Row to Asbury Circle, will be closed Aug. 12 and 13 for repaving.

On Aug. 21, the newly installed gates at Arkwright Road will be closed as additional parts of Pierce and Asbury become pedestrian-only. The gates will be reopened Aug. 26­28 for student move-in. For more information, contact Jon Hastings at 404-727-7473 or at jhastin@fmd.emory.edu.

 

MBA open house to be held Aug. 22

Human Resources and the Goizueta Business School, will host an open house

Aug. 22 for University employees interested in earning a master's of business administration from Emory.
