Women’s Center hosts ‘Take Our Daughters To Work’ Day
The Women’s Center invites faculty and staff to participate in its “Take Our Daughters To Work Day” event on Thursday, April 26.

The program will run from 9–11 a.m., beginning with a breakfast in the Dobbs Hall parlor.

Attendees will take part in a conversation about how the diverse opportunities open to young women today will change the workforce of tomorrow. Door prizes also will be presented.

Summer tennis camp signups under way
Emory’s 38th annual tennis camp is enrolling participants for summer sessions, running from June 4 through Aug. 3. Boys and girls, ages 5–18, can sign up for everything from beginner’s lessons to advanced drills.

Noted Irish minister to speak at Candler Homecoming
Homecoming at the Candler School of Theology will feature sermons and discussions with the Rev. T. David Cooper, superintendent minister at the Newtownabbey Methodist Mission in Ireland. The homecoming celebration will be April 19–20.

Cooper will preach during the opening and closing worship, to be held in Cannon Chapel at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 19 and Friday, April 20. Also on Friday, Cooper will lead a discussion on reconciliation between religions beginning at 8:30 a.m. also in Cannon Chapel.

The overall theme of this year’s homecoming, “Journeys of Reconciliation,” is presented as part of the Year of Reconciliation. For more information call 404-727-6352.

Business School to sponsor MS walk team
The Goizueta Business School is sponsoring a team to take part in this year’s Walk for Multiple Sclerosis. The MS walk will take place in Piedmont Park on Saturday, April 21. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk starts at 10 a.m.

Wind Ensemble premieres commissioned work
The April 20 concert by the Emory Wind Ensemble, “Women and the Wind Ensemble,” features the world premiere of a work written specifically for the group, Carolyn Bremer’s “Venus Palimpsest.” Bremer was commissioned by Scott Stewart, director of instrumental music, to write the 10-minute piece
