Volunteers needed for Commencement
Facilities Management is seeking several marshals to help with crowd control and event setup for Commencement, Monday, May 14. The day will start at 5 a.m. with chair setup. Those interested in volunteering, e-mail Daniel Cook at dcook05@fmd.emory.edu.

Volunteers also are needed to help run the Coca-Cola trailers on Commencement day. At least 18 volunteers (for two hours each) or 36 volunteers for one hour each are needed to help distribute drinks, beginning at 8 a.m. Those interested in volunteering, should contact Sally Costantino at develsc@emory.edu.


Vanpool riders sought for new routes
Vanpools free drivers from the stresses of Atlanta traffic and cut the costs of automobile maintenance.

Emory and the Clifton Corridor Transportation Management Authority fully subsidize new vanpools their first two months in operation, and Emory continues to subsidize $42 per month each eligible employee.

At least seven people are need to form a vanpool, and seven vanpool locations are currently in the planning stages. The list of intended starting points for these vanpools is: Buford, Snellville, Covington/Conyers, Lithonia, Stone Mountain, Alpharetta/Roswell and Woodstock/Marietta.

EMCF research committee adds May 1 deadline
The medical school’s EMCF research committee has announced an additional deadline of May 1 for applications for EMCF research grants. This deadline is in addition the committee’s standing July 1 deadline.
