Oxford Preview Days in March and April
The Oxford Admission Office is hosting nine Preview Days in March and April for anyone interested in learning more about the college. Participants can attend a class, meet current students, tour the campus and join admissions staff for lunch.

Marquette’s Anderson to deliver Aquinas Lecture
Thomas Anderson, a professor of philosophy at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisc., will deliver the Aquinas Center’s annual Aquinas Theology Lecture, “Kierkegaard and Marcel: Compatible Routes to God?” on Thursday, March 1, at 4 p.m. in the Jones Room of Woodruff Library.

Anderson has served as president of the American Catholic Philosophical Association, and he has written extensively on both Kierkegaard and French existentialism. He has written two books on Jean-Paul Satre, From Authenticity to Integral Humanity: Sartre’s First Two Ethics (1993) and The Foundation and Structure of Sartrean Ethics (1979).

Anderson will also present recent research on the relationship between Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir at a symposium to beld at the Aquinas Center on March 2 at noon. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch to this informal symposium; drinks will be provided. The seminar room is located in Turner Village, 1703 Clifton Rd., suite F-6.

GLOW Mobile on campus March 1
The Georgia Licenses on Wheels (GLOW) Mobile will be on campus March 1, offering onsite service to renew or replace lost drivers’ licenses, and to register for new resident drivers’ licenses, voter registration, change of name/address, handicapped parking permits, identification cards and written testing for commercial drivers’ licenses.

Fees vary for different licenses. The GLOW Mobile will park outside the sorority lodges from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 1. It will return to campus May 18, Sept. 19 and Nov. 15. For more information, call 404-727-5560.

Job fair March 23
Emory will host its third Research Specialist Job Fair on Friday, March 23, in Cox Hall. Human Resources invites principal investigators looking to hire all levels of research specialists in the next six months to attend.

“Last year’s job fair drew 250 medical research professionals, with 30 hiring officials on hand to conduct interviews,” said Del King, director of employment and HRIS. “Fourteen of these applicants started working for Emory in the first two months.”

The event will feature two interview time slots, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 1–4 p.m. Registration deadline is Friday, March 16. Interested researchers should contact Randall Cumbaa, senior recruiting specialist, at 404-727-7191 or send e-mail to rcumba@emory.edu.
