Schatten features Family
History Artbook Project The Atlanta Contemporary Art Center founded the project in 1991. The
after-school program for fourth- and fifth-graders focuses on a language
and visual arts curriculum to increase self-esteem and knowledge of family
and community history. Students research family trees and compile a portfolio of stories, visual
materials and interviews. Together with a working artist, the students
then develop this material into a distinctive family history artbook. For more information, call 404-727-6861. |
