Elder care conference to feature author Fleming
“Sharing in the Caring” is an afternoon-long program designed to help families deal with the sometimes overwhelming challenge of caring for an elderly loved one.

It will take place Saturday, May 19, from 8 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in the nursing school, which is co-sponsoring the event with the Wesley Woods Center and the Emory Center for Health in Aging.
Author Sibley Fleming, granddaughter of noted author Celestine Sibley; Patricia Clark, assistant professor of nursing; and Joseph Ouslander, professor of medicine and nursing as well as director of

the Wesley Woods Center, will be among the speakers.Topics of discussion will include social security/Medicare, depression, driving and housing options for seniors.

Come to Carlos for Mummy's Day
Looking for an artful way to honor Mom on Mother's Day?

The Carlos Museum offers "Tea With Mummy" on Sunday, May 13, from 2-4 p.m. Guests can create their own Egyptian animal cookies and enjoy high tea in the museum's reception hall, or go on private tours of the new exhibit "The Collector's Eye: Masterpieces of Egyptian Art from the Thalassic Collection."

Reservations are required and can be made by calling 404-727-0519. The cost is $15 for children, $20 for adults, and museum members receive a $5 discount.

ER's summer schedule
Emory Report will now begin its summer publication schedule. The next issue of ER, published May 29, will be devoted exclusively to Commencement. The paper then will publish biweekly for the remainder of the summer, with issues scheduled for June 11 and 25, July 9 and 23, and Aug. 6.
