Emory to host Bike There festival: Sophomore environmental studies major Michael Mintz gets behind the wheel of one of Emory’s seven electric Th!nk cars, now available for check-out for participants in the Alternative Transportation Program. The nonpolluting cars, on display at an alternative transportation fair held April 22 by the Dobbs Center, have a top speed of 50 mph and a range of about 50 miles on a single charge. Electric cars are not the only enviro-friendly option for Emory commuters; the University also provides incentives for people who would like to pedal to work.
