EPD holds
open house today
The Emory Police Department (EPD), located on the first floor of
the N. Decatur Building, will hold an open house today, Aug. 26,
from 10 a.m. to noon and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
EPD officers will be on hand to give tours of the facility, and
there will be public safety presentations both in the morning (11
a.m.) and the afternoon (4 p.m.). Anyone in the Emory community
is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be provided.
“Basically we just want to let everyone know that the Emory
Police Department is people-friendly, and we’re not just blue
polyester uniforms,” said Officer Theresa Simmons.

Correction
In the July 22 issue of Emory Report, a
front-page photograph of Children’s Healthcare was misidentified
as the Emory Children’s Center. The Children’s Center
actually refers to a small group of buildings located behind Children’s
Healthcare along Ridgewood Drive.
