Dedra Cantrell named Emory Healthcare CIO
Dedra (Dee) Cantrell, interim chief information officer for Emory Healthcare since January, has been named to the permanent position of CIO for Emory Healthcare. Cantrell has been at Emory since 1994, and served as executive director of Emory Healthcare Information Services for four years before becoming interim director.

Emory Healthcare CEO John Fox said, “Dee brought to the interim position a strong background and a lot of energy, and she has done an especially great job these past six months. Thanks to her leadership and her knowledge of health care and applications of information technology to health care, we have been able to maintain momentum and make some major strides forward in our major information technology projects.”

This is the last summer issue of Emory Report. ER will begin its fall publication schedule on Aug. 26. For questions regarding copy deadlines, call 404-727-0645.
