Friar Philibert to deliver Aquinas Lecture, Feb. 28
Paul Philibert, prior of St. Dominic’s Priory in St. Louis, will deliver the annual Aquinas Lecture, sponsored by the Aquinas Center of Theology, on Feb. 28 at 4:15 p.m. in Woodruff Library’s Jones Room. Philibert’s address will be on “Anthropology and Moral Vision: Aquinas’ Fusion of Autonomy and Theonomy.”

A visiting professor with St. Louis University’s own Aquinas Center, Philibert formerly has served as prior provincial of the Southern Dominicans (New Orleans) and was director of the Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame from 1993–2000. He also served as a visiting Dominican scholar at Emory’s Aquinas Center in 2000.

A reception will follow Philibert’s lecture, which is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Aquinas Center at 404-727-8860.


PCSW,LGBT commissions accepting nominations
The President’s Commissions on Women (PCSW) and LGBT Concerns are both accepting nominations for sudent, faculty and staff membership for the 2002–03 academic year. The application deadline for both groups is March 8.
