Friar Philibert to
deliver Aquinas Lecture, Feb. 28
Paul Philibert, prior of St. Dominics Priory in
St. Louis, will deliver the annual Aquinas Lecture, sponsored by
the Aquinas Center of Theology, on Feb. 28 at 4:15 p.m. in Woodruff
Librarys Jones Room. Philiberts address will be on Anthropology
and Moral Vision: Aquinas Fusion of Autonomy and Theonomy.
A visiting professor with St. Louis Universitys own Aquinas
Center, Philibert formerly has served as prior provincial of the
Southern Dominicans (New Orleans) and was director of the Institute
for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame from 19932000.
He also served as a visiting Dominican scholar at Emorys Aquinas
Center in 2000.
A reception will follow Philiberts lecture, which is free

PCSW,LGBT commissions
accepting nominations
The Presidents Commissions on Women (PCSW) and LGBT Concerns
are both accepting nominations for sudent, faculty and staff membership
for the 200203 academic year. The application deadline for
both groups is March 8.
