New program offers discount airport parking
As a new benefit for the Emory community, the University has come to an agreement with Park ’N Fly to provide discounted parking and shuttle service to Hartsfield International Airport.

The program offers rates up to 30 percent lower than regular Park ’N Fly rates and 60 percent lower than airport parking.

URC taking applications for research funds
The University Research Committee (URC) will be accepting applications for research funds through Feb. 17. Grants will be handed out in five categories: biological and health sciences, humanities, math and natural sciences, social sciences, and visual and performing arts.

Liotta, Schinazi receive biotech award
The Georgia biotechnology industry has bestowed its top honor on two Emory scientists—Dennis Liotta and Raymond Schinazi—for their contributions to AIDS and cancer research that have been successfully translated into commercial opportunity. The Georgia Biomedical Partnership, presented Liotta and Schinazi the Biomedical Industry Growth Award on Jan. 15.

Schinazi is professor of pediatrics and director of the Laboratory of Biochemical Pharmacology; Liotta is Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Chemistry.
