Remedial construction at Clairmont
Four Clairmont Campus student housing facilities that opened last fall are undergoing remedial construction this summer to eliminate and prevent water penetration problems. Over the course of the past academic year, some residents experienced moisture problems in their apartments, and those issues were promptly addressed.

“Fortunately the building just opened, and we caught this problem in its earliest stages,” said Capital Program Manager Hector Morales.

Letters regarding the remedial construction activities have been sent to current Clairmont residents, and academic-year residents also will receive a written update later this summer.

“We are asking for residents to help us detect any problems so we can address them immediately, and we are happy to discuss lease cancellations without penalty for anyone wishing to move,” said Melissa Trifiletti, associate director of Residence Life.
