Noe named interim dean of graduate school
Bryan Noe, director of the Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences (GDBBS) and associate dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, has been named interim dean of the graduate school effective immediately, interim Provost Woody Hunter announced June 4.

Noe, professor of cell biology, will take leave of his current duties while serving as interim dean; Keith Wilkinson, professor of biochemistry, will take over as acting director of GDBBS. Noe is replacing former graduate school dean Gary Wihl, who will become dean of the School of the Humanities at Rice University on July 1.

“Bryan Noe has been a member of the Emory faculty for more than three decades and has been one of the leaders in the development of graduate programs,” Hunter said. “His work in helping to create and build the GDBBS has won national acclaim for Emory, and he has been deeply involved in all aspects of the graduate school for a long time.”
