Wagner town hall brings record crowd: President Jim Wagner makes a point during the Employee Council’s annual Town Hall meeting, Nov. 11. Wagner was participating in his first town hall, and the Emory community clearly was interested in what he had to say, as listeners were lined up outside the doors to Winship Ballroom. Unafraid of controversial issues, Wagner frankly discussed campus diversity, merit pay increases and retirement benefits. Scholarship & Research: $778K grant to fund Atlanta stillbirth network: Pediatrics’ Barbara Stoll (left) and Public Health’s Carol Hogue are co-principal investigators for a study on the causes of stillbirths in the U.S. The study will be performed under the auspices of the Emory Stillbirth Network, a collaboration of the schools of medicine and public health.
