Women’s Center accepting Unsung Heroines noms
The advisory board of the Emory Women’s Center is soliciting nominations for its seventh annual Unsung Heroines Awards.

An Unsung Heroine is a woman who has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to women’s issues at Emory, but has not been formally recognized. Awards will be presented in the undergraduate, graduate, alumna, faculty, administrator and staff categories. The deadline for submission is Nov. 20.

Dist. Faculty Lecture seeks nominations

The Faculty Council is soliciting nominations for the 2005 Distinguished Faculty Lecture, which recognizes the achievements of distinguished Emory faculty and gives them the opportunity to convey major themes in their work to Emory colleagues.

The 2005 lecturer will be selected by a group of previous recipients of the award. Nominations are invited from all members of the University community and will be accepted until Dec. 1. All nomination letters are confidential. The selection committee will forward a recommendation to President Jim Wagner, who will issue the formal invitation.

GBS’ Srivastava elected to PAC

Professor Rajendra Srivastava, associate professor in the Goizueta Business School, has been elected to fulfill the unexpired term of Professor Greg Waymire on the President’s Advisory Committee. The 12-member group, whose members are elected by their peers, serves to provide faculty input to President Jim Wagner.
