HR referral program revised, simplified
Emory's Employee Referral Program no longer requires employees to complete referral cards when steering a friend toward an Emory position. Simply make sure the applicant lists the referring employee's name when registering online or completing a paper application; if he or she is hired, the employee will receive a gift when the referral begins employment and another $200-$500 after 90 days of employment.

Referral bonus is $250 (before applicable taxes) for each qualified referral or $500 (before applicable taxes) if the candidate is hired in one of a select group of health care positions.

All regular full-time and part-time employees of the University and Emory Healthcare are eligible to receive the referral bonus. To receive credit for the referral, the applicant must enter the referring employee's name when registering online or completing a paper application--prior to being hired.

Forum to explore European power balance
More than a dozen Emory experts on European history, politics, society and culture will participate in a public discussion on the continent's current and future status in the Burke Nicholson Forum, themed "A New Balance in Europe" and sponsored by the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, April 21 in the Carlos Museum reception hall.

The day's sessions will culminate in a poetry reading by renowned Hungarian poet, political analyst and activist Gyula Kodolányi, who is visiting Emory under an agreement with the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

The forum is free and open to the public, but space is limited and pre-registration is required. To register or to view the full program, visit www.emory.edu/europe. For information, call 404-727-7504.
