Forum explores varied aspects of Europe:
The Burke Nicholson Interdisciplinary Forum featured a day’s worth of panel discussions centered on the culture, history and future of the European continent and its people. One of the day’s 13 speakers was Gyula Koldolányi, visiting distinguished professor from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Koldolányi gave an address touching on his home country’s, as well as all of Eastern Europe’s, relationships with Western Europe and the United States. Following the academic portion of the April 21 forum, Koldolányi, a poet and professor of American and English literature, gave a poetry reading in Woodruff Library.
