Focus: Human Resources

Katherine Hinson is director of communications for
Human Resources.

What is a kiosk? It is a standalone computer system that provides the user with access to specific information or systems. You may have seen them in Blockbuster or Target for people to apply for jobs or in hotel lobbies for quick check-in. There are all kinds of uses for kiosks, and Emory is putting the technology to good use.

Kiosks are located around campus providing employees without direct access to a computer during their workday the ability to log on and manage their personal information. Kiosk can be found in the following locations:

  • Clairmont Campus Parking Deck, bus waiting room
  • Dobbs Center, near the Emory Federal Credit Union
  • Facilities Management, Building B break room
  • Human Resources, benefits department
  • Accounts Payable-Payroll, foyer
  • Yerkes National Primate Research Center (main campus), break room
  • Grady Campus, Steiner Library

Each station offers the ability to log on to PeopleSoft and review or update your personal information, emergency contacts, phone numbers, mailing and e-mail addresses, benefits summaries, direct deposit information, paycheck and advice information, state and federal tax information, and W-2 form reissue requests.

Human Resources wants to ensure that all employees have access to a computer and the ability to manage their own information when changes occur. For more information about Emory's kiosks or training on how to use the kiosk and PeopleSoft, contact Katherine Hinson at 404-727-2242.

July 23 is Mammography Day

Emory Healthcare, in conjunction with Faculty Staff Assistance Program, is offering "EXPRESS" mammography screening for female faculty, staff and physicians, age 35 and older. Those eligible to participate should have received a postcard invitation with information on eligibility, insurance and whom to contact.

If you meet the age criteria and did not receive an invitation, call 404-778-4448 and refer to the code "healthy" to schedule your mammogram.

For employees who have health coverage with another employer, a co-payment and/or referral may be required. Please have your physician's contact information ready when scheduling. If you are enrolled in a health plan, your insurance card is required at the time of your appointment.
